Liv's Bookshelf,  What I Read this Month

    March 2020 Reads

I am really proud of my March reads list! I definitely read out of my comfort zone this month! The Life-Changing Magic of Tidying Up The hype surrounding this book was intriguing, but I have to admit, I was a little disappointed. The Life Changing Magic of Tidying Up by Marie Kondo was not at all life-changing. I did like her light and slightly humorous writing style and I did find some of her ideas helpful, but I wouldn’t say it was the best “minimalist” viewpoint. Women of Country Spotify Playlist

March is International Women’s Month, so I thought I would highlight some of my favorite female artists in the country genre. I tried to create a mix of new and older songs, so I hope you hear at least one song in my Women of Country Spotify playlist you’ve never listened to before. The Jetsetters by Amanda Eyre Ward Book Review

Reese’s Book Club pick for March was a very interesting read, to say the least! I will admit that The Jetsetters was a slow start for me, but by the end, I was hooked into the very intricate relationships in this story. Now all I want to do is hop on a plane and travel through Greece, Italy, and Spain; this book definitely gave me wanderlust! Title: The Jetsetters Author: Amanda Eyre Ward My Rating: My Review: Family function/disfunction is the main theme of this book, and Ward does an amazing job of creating likable and realistic characters. Her style of writing was captivating and surprisingly, I wasn’t thrown off…

The Introvert’s Guide to working from home

Working from home can be a blessing or a curse for introverts. On the one hand, we love having our own spaces and routines. Staying at home is pure bliss for most introverts, so working from home is just an added bonus. On the other hand, though, an introvert’s home is cozy and relaxing, not exactly the best environment conducive to productivity. I’ve always dreamed of having a job that I could do from home. In college, I worked in several office environments that were negative and stressful. But in the summer after graduation, I worked as a freelance writer and worked from home, which I found fun but also…
