    March Favorites

My March favorites list is pretty basic this month, since I’ve been at home all day every day. Definitely learning to enjoy the little things in life more! Cactus Blossom Scented Candle I bought this huge candle on a whim during a big sale at Bath and Body Works, and I’m obsessed with it! The cactus blossom scent is probably my favorite scent from B&BW, with notes of cactus flower petal, sun-kissed coconut, vanilla, fresh sparkling lemon with essential oils. I love that it’s a plain gold geometric shape candle; I prefer simpler packaging than most of the wild prints from B&BW. Tell Me A Story TV Series CBS’s show,…

    Liv’s Bookshelf: March Reads

I am really proud of my March reads list! I definitely read out of my comfort zone this month! The Life Changing Magic of Tidying Up The hype surrounding this book was intriguing, but I have to admit, I was a little disappointed. The Life Changing Magic of Tidying Up by Marie Kondo was not at all life-changing. I did like her light and slightly humorous writing style and I did find some of her ideas helpful, but I wouldn’t say it was the best “minimalist” viewpoint. While her goals are definitely achievable, I really don’t think it’s practical for everyone. The Husband’s Secret I’m addicted to Liane Moriarty’s books!…

    March Playlist: Female Country Mix

March is International Women’s Month, so I thought I would highlight some of my favorite female artists in the country genre. I tried to create a mix of new and older songs, so I hope you hear at least one song in my March playlist you’ve never listened to before. If I had to choose a couple of favorites, I’d pick “Red Wine + White Couch” by Danielle Bradbery and “More Hearts Than Mine” by Ingrid Andress. Comment below which song in my March playlist is your favorite! I think this is my favorite playlist so far in 2020! Check out the rest of my monthly playlists and see if…

    Liv’s Recipe: Lemon Squares

Lemon squares have been one of my favorite desserts since I was little; I love just about anything lemon flavored! These bars are so easy to make and taste absolutely delicious! Personally, I think even the lemon haters out there would love these. The lemon flavor isn’t super overpowering, but if you want a little less “zing”, you can leave out the lemon zest. Ingredients: 2 sticks unsalted butter, room temperature 1/2 cup white sugar 2 cups flour 1/8 tsp. salt 6 eggs, room temperature 3 cups white sugar 2 Tbsp. grated lemon zest I cup lemon juice I cup flour powdered sugar for dusting Directions: Crust: Combine first 4…

    Liv’s Bookshelf: The Jetsetters

Reese’s Book Club pick for March was a very interesting read, to say the least! I will admit that The Jetsetters was a slow start for me, but by the end, I was hooked into the very intricate relationships in this story. Now all I want to do is hop on a plane and travel through Greece, Italy, and Spain; this book definitely gave me wanderlust! Title: The Jetsetters Author: Amanda Eyre Ward My Rating: My Review: Family function/disfunction is the main theme of this book, and Ward does an amazing job of creating likable and realistic characters. Her style of writing was captivating and surprisingly, I wasn’t thrown off…
