• Liv's Bookshelf,  What I Read this Month

    April 2020 Reads

I am so impressed with how many books I read this month! However, my April reads had several disappointing books, but I definitely got out of my comfort zone, so that’s a win! Ask Again, Yes Ask Again, Yes by Mary Beth Keane was a surprising read for me. I had this book on hold for several weeks and completely forgot about it! I really loved the relationships in this book and how one night can change everything. Definitely recommend checking this one out! One of Us Is Lying Zoella’s book club pick for March, One of Us is Lying by Karen McManus, was such an exciting mystery! I’m a…

The Giver of Stars by Jojo Moyes Book Review

The Giver of Stars has been on my TBR list for quite a while, and thankfully, I was able to snatch a copy from my local library before everything closed. I read it over the course of one weekend earlier this month, and I am completely in love with this book! I’m usually not a huge fan of historical fiction, but since it had so many good reviews, I felt obligated to give it a try. Title: The Giver of Stars Author: Jojo Moyes My Rating: My Review: This story of five women and the development of the traveling library in rural Depression-era Kentucky is absolutely breathtaking. Alice, a young…

    Zoella Collaborative Spotify Playlist

I had so much fun making this playlist this month!! This playlist card was supposed to be a daily Instagram story, but I turned it into my playlist post for April. If you don’t follow Zoe Sugg and Zoella over on Instagram, you’re definitely missing out! It was so hard to just add one song per day! I could have made a playlist out of each category! So here goes! Day 1 Don’t Stop Believing by Journey Day 2 You Belong With Me by Taylor Swift(My cousin and I listened to this song on repeat when she got the very first iPod touch. It was the only song she bought…

    Q & A: Bookish Edition

One of my passions is reading, so I though a bookish Q&A would be a fun way to get to know me a little better! I’ve loved to read for as long as I can remember and I’ll always be a huge advocate for reading and its many, many benefits! What was your favorite children’s book? My aunt bought me my first Olivia by Ian Falconer book as soon as I could read, and I received a new Olivia book every birthday. I couldn’t believe that someone wrote books and named them after me! This children’s book series will always have a special place in my heart. Paperback or e-book?…

    My Morning Skincare Routine

Mornings are rough. I am the opposite of a morning person. So finding a meaningful morning routine was a challenge. Especially during college, I was doing good to look presentable for class, let alone complete a 10 step skincare routine every morning. Since I’ve taken a more minimal approach to my lifestyle lately, I’ve been able to create a skincare routine that’s easy and effortless! First, I always wash my face, obviously. If I find that washing my face morning and night is too drying for me, sometimes I “wash my face” with just water. I’m sure someone will tell me that I shouldn’t do that, but I’m just trying…
