Tarte Cosmetics Haul and Product Review

One of my favorite higher end makeup brands is Tarte Cosmetics. Every years they have a custom bag kit for $63, and this year I finally caved and bought some new products to try. I haven’t used any of these items before, so I was really excited to try them out!

My Reviews:

I have tried Tarte’s Rainforest of the Sea water based foundation as well as their Face Tape foundation, so I wanted to try their newest, the Badassu foundation with SPF. This product is perfect for summer because of the natural almost dewy finish and the added SPF. It blends really well with a beauty blender, and it is a true medium coverage.

I have always wanted to try an eyelash primer, and so far I’m impressed with this one! It also came with a mini Lights, Camera, Lashes mascara which I love. I can definitely tell a difference when I use the primer versus when I don’t. It especially helps the mascara on my bottom lashes from flaking during the day.

The lipstick/gloss duo is gorgeous! I wasn’t sure which shade to choose when looking online, so I chose a random shade and hoped for the best! While it looks nothing like what the picture indicates, it’s still really pretty.

I am obsessed with this liquid eyeshadow from the Rainforest of the Sea collection. The picture doesn’t do it justice; I practically squealed when I swatched it for the first time! It’s a very vibrant eyeshadow, so I’m going to have to be creative if I want to wear this as an “everyday” look. For special occasions though, it’s absolutely perfect!

Lastly, the double ended brush and blotting powder and paper are super nice! I use the brush as a contour/bronze and highlight, and it’s been working perfectly!

Overall, I’m extremely happy with my Tarte Cosmetics haul. The fact that it came with this cute tassle bag is another bonus!
