August 2020 Reads

Somehow I managed to read 5 books this month even though I was in the worst reading slump! My August reads were very diverse, and I’m proud that I went out of my comfort zone again this month.

Everything Inside

Rating: 3 out of 5.

Everything Inside is a collection of short stories that was picked for Reese’s Book Club this month. I wrote a separate post for this book, so you can check it out here!

The Vanishing Half

Rating: 4 out of 5.

Go find this book and read it right NOW!! It was that good. The Vanishing Half was one of those reads that I couldn’t put down. The story was compelling, tragic, and so very emotional.

Big Little Lies

Rating: 5 out of 5.

I read Big Little Lies almost all in one day, just like I binged the TV series! This is the best of my August reads and definitely my favorite Liane Moriarty book. I love her writing style and the way she tells such intricate stories.

Remember Me?

Rating: 3.5 out of 5.

Remember Me? is an easy chick-lit read to grab when you don’t know what to read. I was diving into a reading slump this month, so this was a go-to choice for something quick and light.

Throne of Glass

Rating: 5 out of 5.

My sister recommended this new series to me a few weeks ago, and now I’m obsessed! Throne of Glass is quickly becoming one of my favorite true fantasy books, and I can’t wait to finish the rest of the series!

How many books did you read this month? Let me know which one was your favorite! Unfortunately, my book bingo didn’t go well at all this month.

August reads bookish bingo
