    Big Little Lies Book Review

Watching the Big Little Lies TV series is the reason I fell in love with Liane Moriarty’s books. I’ve read several of her books now, but I held off reading this one because I needed some distance from the story after binge-watching the series. I already knew that I would love this book, and it even exceeded my expectations! Title: Big Little Lies Author: Liane Moriarty My Rating: My Review: I absolutely loved that the Big Little Lies book was slightly different than the TV series. Normally, I would want an exact replica, but I really appreciated experiencing this book separately from the series. One of my favorite aspects of…

    Everything Inside Book Review

Reese’s Book Club pick for August is a collection of short stories, which is definitely out of my comfort zone. I don’t love short stories because I get caught up in the plot and characters just when the author ends it. It makes me want more and it’s hard to jump from one short story to the next. So without further ado, here’s my Everything Inside book review! Title: Everything Inside Author: Edwidge Danticat My Rating: Rich with hard-won wisdom and humanity, set in locales from Miami and Port-au-Prince to a small unnamed country in the Caribbean and beyond, Everything Inside is at once wide in scope and intimate, as it explores…

Reese’s Book Club June Review: The Guest List

Reese’s book club pick for June is a thrilling and suspenseful novel set on an island off the coast of Ireland. I decided to listen to the audiobook version, and I’m so glad I did! Each “main” character had their own unique voice/accent, and it really made the story come to life. And don’t worry, I won’t give away any spoilers, so you can keep reading if you haven’t read it yet! Title: The Guest List Author: Lucy Foley My Rating: My Review: I was hooked by this story and its characters, pretty much from the first chapter. Foley is incredible at building suspense and piling on all of the…
