A Motivating Mantra for the Fall Season

While autumn is a beautiful and peaceful season, it isn’t always the most serene time of year, especially during an election year and a global pandemic. It’s hard sometimes to know what to believe, who to trust, and why terrible things keep happening I found this quote by Ernest Hemingway, and it struck me how applicable it was for this fall season. My motivating mantra for October is “Being against evil doesn’t make you good.”. It’s easy to speak against wrong, but it is a million times harder to do speak up for something good. We are all so effective at posting harsh and biting comments on social media, pointing…

    A Motivating Mantra for September

2020 has definitely been a roller coaster ride of emotions, most of them negative. As much as I want to deny it, I have not been truly content and happy because I have let the world tell me what my life should look like, rather than simply enjoying my life for what it is. The following quote is a motivating mantra that I really needed to mediate on this month. August Motivating Mantra

I can’t believe summer is nearly over! But I’m SOO ready for fall…is it too early to start putting out fall decor? Asking for a friend…Anyway, August has been an interesting month already, but I’m feeling really optimistic. So without further ado, here’s my August motivating mantra! “Aspire not to have more but to be more.” I love love love this quote! It really ties in with the minimal and sustainable lifestyle that I’m trying to create. I don’t want to be known for the things that I have, but for who I am as a person. Society today tells us that we need more things in order to be…

    My Motivating Mantra for July

My birthday month has arrived! I love July and all of the sunny days, garden vegetables, and icy sweet treats that this month brings! When I started looking for a motivating mantra for the month, I have to admit that I struggled to find motivation this month. I feel like I’m on the verge of a rut, so I made a few changes to my lifestyle. One, I cut down posting on my blog to twice a week or 10 posts monthly, rather than three times a week and 12 monthly posts. I’ve also tweaked my morning routine a little. Has anyone else found it difficult to stay motivated? I’d…

    Motivating Mantra: June

How is 2020 almost halfway over?? As strange and difficult this year has been, it’s also gone by really fast for me. I wouldn’t call myself an extremely positive person, so these monthly mantras have really helped me focus my priorities. This June mantra is exactly when I need right now; all of the blessings in my life have been overpowered by all of the problems lately. My June mantra is this: “Talk more about your blessings than you talk about your problems.” I have the tendency to see the worst and complain about what I don’t have or what went wrong. I often ignore the wonderful things in my…
